India to Invest $143 Billion on Oil & Gas Pipelines in Next Five Years
DELHI, INDIA--February 20, 2012--Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Delhi, India)--The Indian government invested $106 billion on expanding the network of oil and gas pipelines during the country's 11th Five-Year Plan (2007-11). Out of the total investment, approximately $83 billion was spent on the expansion network of gas pipelines, covering an area of 13,508 kilometers with a carrying capacity of 334 million standard cubic meters per day. Total investment made in crude oil pipelines and refined product pipelines were $16 billion and $7 billion, respectively.
