China's Investment in Hydropower Expected to Surpass $110 Billion in 12th Five-Year Plan

BEIJING--March 30, 2012--Researched by Industrial Info Resources China (Beijing, China)--Hydropower investment is experiencing rapid growth in China. From January to February 2012, China's investments in industry-wide power source projects reached $7.16 billion, an increase of 22.89% from the same period in 2011. The investment in hydropower was up nearly 100%, while the investment in thermal power dropped 54.34%, according to the latest statistics issued by the National Energy Administration (NEA).
