Coverage in the International Petroleum Refining industry consists of the active project spending information, based on June 2002 completion date and beyond, of approximately 300 projects representing over $80 billion in spending. In the year 2001, IIR’s international coverage for the Petroleum Refining industry consisted of over 140 projects representing a combined TIV (Total Investment Value) of $11.7 Billion. In 2002 and beyond, increases in capital spending are expected as environmental requirements become even more demanding on processes and technologies.
