Database Contents
Full market coverage consists of the initial delivery of over 41,000 operational plants representing over 202,000 unique key management contacts, and approximately 8,200 active capital and maintenance projects for the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. (Active projects vary depending on project completion date) IIR also delivers monthly new project information and updates to existing projects as changes occur. In the year 2001, IIR delivered over 7,400 capital and maintenance projects for North America worth an estimated $563 billion. Project coverage consists of grassroot construction (new plant activity), in-plant capital project activity for expansions, additions, upgrades, debottlenecks, modernization and environmental programs, and in-plant maintenance project coverage including major turnarounds, outages, and shutdowns found in selective industries.

Dynamic Updating
 Unlike static reporting, IIR’s database products incorporate the dynamics of monthly updating. Each day our staff of industry specialists identify and confirm plant and project information and make changes to the database. These changes are delivered monthly to database users. On average, over 5,000 individual field changes are made per month to the database that include merger and acquisition activities, plant closings, new plants coming online, phone, mailing and physical address changes as well as key management contact changes. Monthly updates also include delivery of new data on over 600 projects that are researched monthly that include coverage on new projects as well as updates to existing projects previously researched by IIR.
