U.S. Consortium Signs $4 Billion MoU for 1,200 Megawatts of Solar Power in Nigeria

JOHANNESBURG--November 20, 2014--Written by Richard Finlayson, Senior International Editor for Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--A U.S. investment consortium and Nigeria's government have signed a memorandum of understanding that would deliver 1,200 megawatts (MW) of solar power to Nigeria during the next five years. The $4 billion deal by the government and investment group Motir Seaspire was made in partnership with New Generation Power (Chicago, Illinois), which is said to be the world's largest private renewable energy developer.
