Study: Maine Could Double Wind Energy Output in Next Four Years

SUGAR LAND--February 3, 2015--Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Maine's wind power industry could double its energy output in the next four years, according to a study commissioned by the Maine Renewable Energy Association (MREA) (Augusta Maine). Wind projects that are now under development could increase Maine's peak wind-power output to 1,300 megawatts (MW) by 2018, according to the report. The industry could create more than 4,000 jobs in the state, says the report.
