IIR defines Industrial Energy Producers [IEP] as Owners of Industrial Plants, outside of the Power Industry, that produce their own electricity on-site for sale and/or internal use. Any project requiring power generation equipment at an industrial complex not related to the Power Industry, will be identified with the [IEP] requirement. This section also specifies the type of energy-related equipment (steam or electricity) required for the project, as well as any incineration equipment. Also identified in this section is the need to buy, sell, or outsource energy-related products and services as dictated by the project.
