
SUGAR LAND--February 25, 2009--Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Although the Southwest region of the United States is leading the way in the number of refining projects scheduled to kick off between March and December of this year, the Great Lakes region is not faring too badly in terms of the value of its refining projects. The Southwest region includes the states of Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas and Oklahoma and currently has 128 projects with a combined value of $3.08 billion scheduled to begin through the end of the year. The Great Lakes region, consisting of Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio and Wisconsin, has 39 projects scheduled to begin during this time with a total value of $1.2 billion.
