Netherlands' First Salt-Cavern Gas Storage Facility Under Way

GALWAY, IRELAND--June 9, 2009--Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Dutch construction group Koninklijke BAM Groep NV (AMS:BAMNB) (Bunnik, Netherlands), is developing natural gas storage facilities in salt caverns, the first of its kind in the Netherlands. BAM is implementing the project under a $127 million contract secured in February this year from gas supplier NV Nederlandse Gasunie (Groningen, Netherlands) and utility firm NV Nuon (Amsterdam, Netherlands). The project is scheduled for completion in May 2010.
