Kansai Electric Combined-Cycle Additions at Himeji Power Station On Track

KOFU-SHI, JAPAN--September 27, 2011--Researched by Industrial Info Resources East Asia (Kofu-shi, Japan)--Work on the new unit additions at the Himeji power station, which is owned and operated by Kansai Electric Power Company Incorporated (TYO:9503) (Kanden) (Osaka, Japan) in the Hyogo prefecture, is under way. Construction on the new combined-cycle additions began last summer, though Phase I will not see completion until late 2013. Phases II and III also have begun, while phases IV through VI have yet to begin. Kanden is heading the project in association with Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Limited (TYO:7011) (MHI) (Tokyo), and they are working on several other major projects together as well.
