JOHANNESBURG--February 27, 2012--Written by Richard Finlayson, Senior International Editor for Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Siemens Wind Power has made its first break into the Thai market with two orders covering a total of 90 wind turbines with a combined capacity of 207 megawatts (MW). The turbines are the company's new SWT-2.3-101 series model, which has a rotor diameter of 101 meters and is suited to sites with low to medium wind speeds. The 2.3-MW turbines have a tower height of 99.5 meters.
