PERTH, AUSTRALIA--March 27, 2012--Researched by Industrial Info Resources Australia (Perth, Australia)--Woodside Petroleum's (ASX:WPL) (Perth, Australia) Pluto liquefied natural gas (LNG) project has reached ready-for start-up (RFSU) status, but it is late in delivering the first cargo of LNG as per Woodside's schedule. Woodside reached RFSU status on March 22, 2012, when the first gas began to flow through the 4.3 million-metric-tonne-per-year nameplate capacity processing train. 2012 will see LNG produced at between 1.8 million and 2.2 million metric tonnes per annum.
