Iberdrola Sells Polish Windfarm Business

GALWAY, IRELAND--March 7, 2013 --Written by Martin Lynch, European News Editor for Industrial Info (Galway, Ireland) Spanish renewable energy giant Iberdrola (MCE:IBE) (Madrid, Spain) has disposed of its Polish wind energy assets as part of a drive to sell 2 billion ($2.6 billion) of its assets by 2014.

The company has inked a deal worth 203 million ($268 million) to part with its 75% stake in Iberdrola Renewables Polska to state-owned utilities Polska Grupa Energetyczna SA (PGE) (Warsaw, Poland) and Energa (Gdansk, Poland).
