Cabot, Biggest Marcellus Gas Producer, Acts to Secure Further Growth
SUGAR LAND--August 7, 2013--Written by John Egan for Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Cabot Oil & Gas Corporation (NYSE:COG) (Houston, Texas), the biggest gas producer in the Marcellus Shale, is continuing to see strong growth in the area, to the delight of its investors. Cabot is producing about 1.2 billion cubic feet of gas per day (Bcf/d) in the Marcellus, a number that continues to grow. Last month, it added a sixth drilling rig in that formation. Gas production from the sixth rig is not expected to come online until next year, the company said.
