U.S. Chemical Industry Sees Increase in Maintenance Spending in 2013

SUGAR LAND--September 17, 2013--Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--The U.S. Chemical Processing Industry (CPI) sees ups and downs in maintenance turnarounds from year to year. Recently, there has been an ebb and flow, with spending and activity peaking every other year. Nevertheless, maintenance activity has remained strong in 2013. The U.S. CPI is on track to complete 599 maintenance turnarounds in 2013 with an investment of almost $1.4 billion, 342 of which are scheduled to occur in the final four months of the year.
