SCOOP and STACK are Hot New Plays for Oklahoma Oil & Gas Drilling
SUGAR LAND--December 4, 2013--Written by John Egan for Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--In the ongoing effort to uncover the "next big thing" in Oil & Gas exploration, some companies are investing heavily in two unconventional plays in Oklahoma: SCOOP and STACK. Continental Resources Incorporated (NYSE:CLR) (Oklahoma City, Oklahoma) last year created the SCOOP nickname for several Oklahoma counties, including Grady and Stephens, where it had amassed a lot of acreage and has reported positive drilling results. Close by SCOOP is another hot oil play, which Newfield Exploration Company (NYSE:NFX) (The Woodlands, Texas) calls STACK.
