In response to more stringent environmental regulations, South Carolina Electric & Gas (SCE&G) (Cayce, South Carolina), a subsidiary of SCANA Corporation (NYSE:SCG), closed the plant on November 6 to meet stricter emissions standards that are set to take effect in 2015.
