Alstom Secures Austrian Hydropower Deal

GALWAY, IRELAND--March 24, 2014 --Written by Martin Lynch, European News Editor for Industrial Info (Galway, Ireland) One of Austria's newest pumped storage hydropower stations will be powered by twin generators from French engineering firm, Alstom S.A. (OTC:ALSMY) (Paris, France).

The company has been contracted to supply the Obervermuntwerk II pumped-storage power project with two specially designed generators with an output capacity of 180-megawatts (MW) each.
