Europe Needs Coal 'Action Plan'

European News Editor for Industrial Info (Galway, Ireland) Europe needs to develop an action plan for coal according to the World Coal Association (WCA) as it will continue to play a key role in the region's energy production for decades to come.

Despite the big drive towards lowering emissions and introducing more renewable energy, Europe will continue to rely on coal for more than a quarter of its electricity (27%), the WCA stated at the 23rd European Round Table on Coal.
