Ford's Joint-Venture in Russia Cuts 30% of its Workforce as Sales Tumble
ISTANBUL--April 4, 2014--Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Car manufacturer Ford Motor's (NYSE:F) (Dearborn, Michigan) joint venture with Russia's second-biggest automaker, Sollers, will halt car production at its key plant in Vsevolzsk in St. Petersburg from April 7 to 15, and then from April 21 to June 8. In the January-February period, retail sales of Ford models declined 21% from the same two months last year.
