Vattenfall Commits to 1.2 Billion German Offshore Windfarm
GALWAY, IRELAND--August 15, 2014 --Written by Martin Lynch, European News Editor for Industrial Info (Galway, Ireland) Swedish energy company, Vattenfall and Germany utility Stadtwerke München (Munich, Germany) have committed to spending 1.2 billion ($1.6 billion) to construct their second offshore windfarm in the German North Sea.
The companies have made a final investment decision to go ahead with the construction of the Sandbank windfarm, which will have a generating capacity of 288-megawatts (MW).
