SUGAR LAND--September 3, 2014--Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--The Alvin W Vogtle Nuclear Power Station, located at Waynesboro, Georgia, was down-powered during the Labor Day weekend after a leak was discovered. Maintenance personnel said Unit 01 was down-powered to about 30% capacity Saturday due to a malfunctioning pump seal.
