Denmark and Netherlands to Link Power Grids
GALWAY, IRELAND--September 12, 2014 --Written by Martin Lynch, European News Editor for Industrial Info (Galway, Ireland) Netherlands and Denmark are set to share renewable energy following an agreement between their transmission system operators (TSOs) to develop a 300 kilometre (km) subsea direct-current interconnector.
The High-Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) cable will directly connect the Dutch and Danish power grids and allow for the sharing of renewable wind energy.
