Germany's Industrial Production Slows Sharply in August, Increases Fears of Recession
ISTANBUL--October 13, 2014--Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Germany's industrial production declined 4% in August versus July, the country's worst performance since early 2009. Across broad demand categories, consumer, intermediate and capital goods production fell by 0.4%, 1.9% and 8.8%, respectively. Economists explained the slowing by the shift in summer holidays.
