U.K. Boosts Funding for Renewable Energy

GALWAY, IRELAND--October 13, 2014 --Written by Martin Lynch, European News Editor for Industrial Info (Galway, Ireland) The U.K. is boosting its funding for renewable energy projects to £300 million ($461 million), an increase of £95 million over previous estimates.

Renewable projects will compete for a share of the Contracts for Difference (CfD) funding this Autumn, the government's support scheme that guarantees developers a fixed price for power generated over a certain period of time.
