DENVER, COLORADO--October 17, 2014--Written by John Egan for Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Only a small fraction of the world's mines have incorporated best practices on water management into their operations, according to speakers and attendees at the "Water Management for Mining" conference, sponsored by Information Forecast Incorporated (Infocast) (Woodland Hills, California), held last week in Denver. "Less than 20% of the world's mines practice integrated, site-wide water management," said one attendee, adding that it's a lack of knowledge, not money, which has prevented many mines from adopting best practices in water management.
