SUGAR LAND--October 21, 2014--Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--In 2013, natural gas-fired, combined-cycle power generation projects hit a 15-year low, with a 50% decline from the number of projects in 2012. However, combined-cycle projects are expected to increase 3.1% per year through 2038, according to a report from engineering firm Black & Veatch (Overland Park, Kansas). Currently, Industrial Info is tracking 25 grassroot combined-cycle generation projects valued at more than $17 billion, and 32 combined-cycle generation plant additions, repowers or conversions, valued at more than $18 billion.
