SUGAR LAND--October 23, 2014--Written by John Egan for Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--The latest Short-Term Energy Outlook from the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) (Washington, D.C.) has bad news for natural gas producers, but good news for gas consumers. Surging production, mainly from shale formations, will hold down prices through the end of 2015, the agency said in its recent report. Robust production has contributed to record storage injections this year, rebuilding stockpiles that were drawn down by the polar vortex earlier this year.
