Europe Funds Gas and Electricity Infrastructure

GALWAY, IRELAND--November 11, 2014 --Written by Martin Lynch, European News Editor for Industrial Info (Galway, Ireland) The European Union (EU) has begun allocating the first wave of funding from its proposed €5.85 billion ($7.3 billion) fund to create a European supergrid spanning gas and electricity grids.

Member states have agreed to release €647 million ($808 million) to support key priority gas and electricity infrastructure projects.
