SUGAR LAND--November 24, 2014--Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--NorthWestern Energy (Sioux Falls, South Dakota) has purchased 11 of PPL Montana's (Billings, Montana) hydroelectric facilities for $900 million. NorthWestern Energy will operate the plants, which have a combined generating capacity of 633 megawatts and comprise 22 units. NorthWestern Energy is owned by NorthWestern Corporation (NYSE:NEW) (Sioux Falls, South Dakota). PPL Montana is owned by PPL Corporation (NYSE:PPL) (Allentown, Pennsylvania).
