SUGAR LAND--December 18, 2014--Written by John Egan for Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--About 59,000 miles of new crude oil, natural gas and natural gas liquids (NGL) pipelines have been built in the last three years in Texas, at an aggregate cost of about $73 billion, according to the Texas Pipeline Association (TPA) (Austin, Texas). That group projected an additional 50,000 miles of new pipe will be needed in the Lone Star State over the next 10 years to keep up current rates of production for crude oil, natural gas and NGLs.
