GALWAY, IRELAND--January 14, 2015 --Written by Martin Lynch, European News Editor for Industrial Info (Galway, Ireland) A controversial £500 million ($755 million) waste-to-energy (WTE) plant in Gloucestershire, England, has finally received the green light from the government.

The planned project at Javelin Park was initially rejected before Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government, Eric Pickles, finally gave it the go ahead after having postponed his ruling three times since September.
