E.ON Sells Italian Power Plants

GALWAY, IRELAND--January 16, 2015--Written by Martin Lynch, European News Editor for Industrial Info (Galway, Ireland)--German energy giant, E.ON AG (OTC:EONGY) (Dusseldorf, Germany), has announced the proposed sale of its coal and gas-fired power plants in Italy to Czech energy company, EPH (Prague).

The private energy company will take control of plants with a combined generating capacity of around 4,500-megawatts (MW) for an undisclosed sum but, which analysts estimate, to be worth €500-600 million ($588-705 million).
