U.K. Will Fight Austrian Nuclear Plant Block

GALWAY, IRELAND--February 23, 2015 --Written by Martin Lynch, European News Editor for Industrial Info (Galway, Ireland) The U.K. Prime Minister, David Cameron, has dismissed Austria's efforts to derail the country's plan to build its first new nuclear power plant in 20 years.

Cameron refused to accept a letter of protest that the Austrian Chancellor, Werner Faymann, tried to hand him at a European summit in Brussels last week. Cameron instead told Faymann to "respect Britain's energy choices". Faymann's government is anti-nuclear power.
