Senvion Wins 111-MW German Offshore Wind Deal
GALWAY, IRELAND--February 26, 2015 --Written by Martin Lynch, European News Editor for Industrial Info (Galway, Ireland) Senvion SE (FWB: RPW) (Hamburg, Germany) has secured a contract to supply turbines for the 111-megawatt (MW) Nordergründe offshore wind farm in Germany's North Sea.
The company, formerly known as REpower Systems, will provide 18 of its 6.2M126 turbines, each with a rated generation capacity of 6.15 MW, making them the largest operational offshore turbines in the world.
