SUGAR LAND--October 9, 2015--Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Mexico had about 16,295 megawatts (MW) of installed renewable-energy capacity as of 2014, which mostly consisted of hydroelectric, wind, solar and geothermal sources. In order to fulfill its international greenhouse gas reduction pledges, Mexico has set a clean energy generation target of 35% by 2024; 40% by 2035; and 50% by 2050. These targets do not include nuclear power, nor fossil fuel facilities with carbon capture and storage.
