China's Output of Crude Steel Up 0.5% in April 2016
BEIJING--May 20, 2016--Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Beijing, China)-- According to an announcement from China Iron and Steel Industry Association, in April of this year, China's crude steel output reached 69.42 million metric tons, which was equivalent to 2.31 million metric tons per day on average, or an increase of 0.5% from the same period of last year, while the growth in the first quarter 2016 was -3.2%. Steel products reached 96.68 million metric tons, which was equivalent to 3.22 million metric tons per day on average, or an increase of 0.5% from the same time in 2015. Pigment reached 58.42 million metric tons, which was equivalent to 1.95 million metric tons per day on average, or a drop of 2.0% from the same period of last year. Coke hit 36.25 million metric tons, down 3.4% from last year.
