Construction of Mississippi's largest solar facility recently got under way in Sumrall, Lamar County, and is expected to be completed by December of this year. The 52-megawatt (MW) project, owned by Origis Energy (Miami, Florida) has a 25-year power-purchase agreement with Mississippi Power.
