Sugar Land--July 12, 2016--Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--In one of the largest Metals & Minerals Industry projects to start construction in North America in 2016, Grupo Simec SAB de CV (Guadalajara, Mexico), a subsidiary of Industrias CH SA de CV (Tlalnepantla de Baz), has started site preparation work for a new $600 million steel mill in Apizaco, Mexico. The new mill is designed to produce 600,000 tons per year of Special Bar Quality (SBQ) large round blooms, large diameter bar and wire rod. The new mill is being built near the company's 400,000 ton per year Tlaxcala Steel Mill, which began operations in 1972.
