Breaking Down the Trans-Pacific Partnership

SUGAR LAND--October 28, 2016--Written by Andrea Moede for Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--The Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) has yet to be passed but is still dominating headlines, and this has been going on for several years. The landmark trade agreement between the U.S. and 11 Asia-Pacific countries (Australia, Brunei, Canada, Chile, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Peru, Singapore and Vietnam) began being negotiated as far back as 2009 and was finalized in February 2016. As both presidential candidates Clinton and Trump oppose the TPP, proponents are hoping that it will be passed during the lame-duck congressional session of President Obama's last few months in office.
