Florida Power & Light Kicks Off Okeechobee Clean Energy Center
SUGAR LAND--February 28, 2017--Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--NextEra Energy Incorporated (NSYE:NEE) (Juno Beach, Florida) subsidiary Florida Power & Light (FPL), along with Zachry Group (San Antonio, Texas) recently broke ground on a 1,600-megawatt (MW), natural gas-fired, combined-cycle generating station, which will be located near Vero Beach, in the town of Okeechobee, Florida. The Okeechobee Clean Energy Center was approved last year by the Florida Public Service Commission, and recently received the green light to begin construction.
