Texas Refineries, Natural Gas Plants Hunker Down as Hurricane Harvey Churns Closer

SUGAR LAND--August 25, 2017--Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Seven Texas refineries and six natural gas processing and fractionation plants have shut down in advance of Hurricane Harvey. At of 4 p.m. CST, the hurricane was 60 miles southeast of Corpus Christi amid deteriorating weather and rising water levels along the Texas Gulf Coast. The hurricane is expected to make landfall late Friday night or early Saturday morning.
