China's CNOOC Cancels British Columbia LNG Plant

SUGAR LAND--September 18, 2017--Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Nexen Incorporated (Calgary, Alberta), a wholly owned subsidiary of China's CNOOC Limited (Beijing), announced that it is cancelling the feasibility study for the Aurora liquefied natural gas (LNG) production facility in British Columbia, citing economic factors. The project was intended to have a liquefaction capacity of approximately 24 million tons per year.
