Plant Company Name: The name of the Plant Owner and may differ from the Parent Company name.
Plant Name: The name by which the Plant is known such as the Texas City Refining. In the absence of a given or specific plant name, the plant is prefixed by the city or town name followed by the most prominent product or type of product manufactured or produced at the plant.
Plant Identification (ID): An exclusive IIR seven (7) digit number that links the plant to their respective parent company or the next company level up in IIR's data structure and is the link to all Plant Profile® data and PEC Reports®.
Status: Operational (O) status Plant Profiles® are verified and quality controlled within a 360-day period. Other verified Plant Profiles® are in the Planned (P), Engineered (E) or Under Construction (UC) phases along with Closed (C) status plants.
Plant Mailing Address: The primary address where mail is received or sent to personnel at the plant site and includes street address or P.O. Box number along with town or city plus state zip code and country. In some instances, the mailing and physical address is the same.
IIR Industry Code (IC): The Industry description conforms to one of twelve unique IIR two digit Industry Code (IC) classifications starting with IC-01 Power through IC-13 Pharmaceutical & Biotech. The other ten categories are: IC-02 Terminals, IC-03 Transmission (Oil/Gas), IC-04 Production (Oil/Gas), IC-05 Alternative Fuel, IC-06 Petroleum Refining (HPI), IC-07 Chemical Processing (CPI), IC-08 Metals & Minerals, IC-09 Pulp, Paper & Wood, IC-10 Food & Beverage, and IC-12 Industrial Manufacturing.
Plant Physical Address: The address of the Plant by street number and name, town, state, country and the five (5)-digit zip code plus four (4) when available.
PEC Zones: Are defined by an IIR Geographical Zone assigned to each given state or province. The number of zones is a function of each individual state and varies from state-to-state depending on specific selling territories. Examples: Texas has twelve (12) zones; California has ten (10) whereas Nebraska and Arkansas is each one (1) zone. There are a total of 135 zones in the United States and 20 in Canada for a combined total of 155 zones in the U.S. and Canada. Mexico is defined as one (1) zone and the seven (7) Worldwide Regions are each considered as one (1) zone each
County: Conforms to the city of the Plant's physical location.
Market Region: Established by IIR and applies to the three North American countries, which include the forty-eight US contiguous states, Canada and Mexico plus seven Worldwide Regions. The United States is represented by nine (9) Market Regions: West Coast, Rocky Mountains, Midwest, Southwest, Great Lakes, Southeast, Northeast, New England and Mid-Atlantic. Canada consists of four (4) Market Regions: Western Canada, Atlantic Canada, Quebec and Ontario. Mexico is defined as one (1) Market Region. Worldwide coverage is comprised of seven (7) Market Regions. North America, Middle America, South America, Africa, Europe, Asia and Oceania.
Phone Number: Identifies the main phone number or direct dial number to access the plants central switchboard.
Fax Number: Identifies the primary or central fax number at the plant to electronically forward hard copy documents or graphic materials to plant personnel.
NERC Region: Ten geographical regions within the forty-eight contiguous states as defined by borders established by the North American Electric Reliability Council (NERC). The NERC regions are: East Central Area Reliability Coordination Agreement (ECAR), Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT), Mid-America Interconnected Network (MAIN), Mid-Atlantic Area Council (MAAC), Mid-Continent Area Power Pool (MAPP), Northeast Power Coordinating Council (NPCC), Southeastern Electric Reliability Council (SERC), Southwest Power Pool (SPP), Western Systems Coordinating Council (WSCC), Florida Reliability Coordinating Council (FRCC).
Company Name: Identifies the company to which the Plant Profile® is directly linked or attached within the company organization or corporate structure.
Company ID: The identification number is exclusive to IIR and consists of a seven (7)-digit number that links the Plant Profile® to the Company Profile in IIR's data structure.
Business Unit: The Primary type business of the plant owner company.
Type: Defines the relationship of the Plant within the company organization and business structure according to one of ten (10) Business Groups consisting of Affiliate, Division, District, Group, Holding, Joint Venture, Parent, Region, Sector and Subsidiary.
Company Address: Physical address of the Plant Company Owner and can be either at the plant location or off-site.
Company Web Site: Identifies (when available) the Plant Owner's website for further access to information related to the Plant Owner.
Parent Company Name: Company within the corporate structure to whom the Plant's owner is accountable.
Parent Company Identification ID: An IIR exclusive (7) digit number that links the Plant Company profile to the Parent Company profile.
Parent Web Site: Identifies (when available) the Parent Company's website for further access to information related to the Parent Company and related Plant Owner.
