About the Market
The demand for natural gas is expected to grow from 22.8 Tcf (Year 2000 estimate) to approximately 33.8 Tcf by 2020. A total increase of 11 Tcf, adjusted for forecasted gains in usage efficiency. This figure alone infers a 50% increase in volume, which translates into large infrastructure projects in the production, transmission, and storage of natural gas.
