The Project Identification section of the PEC Report® provides the owner's descriptive project title and an estimated Total Investment Value (TIV) of the project. Each project includes one of IIR's twelve Industry Code classifications, a Project ID number for tracking purposes, the Research Date and IIR's PEC Zone map. IIR includes the Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Codes in reference to the project and associated plant. The Project SIC code includes project description based on the type of project, where the Plant SIC code makes reference to the primary business of the plant. Projects that have environmental Air, Land or Water impacts will be identified and reinforced in the Project Scope section by providing specific environmental equipment or service needs information.
State: The project state name appears in the report header at the top right of the report, above the map.
Project: This line begins with the city name where the plant resides, followed by the Owner's descriptive project title.
Total Investment Value: The estimated Total Investment Value is based on confirmation with the Project Owner plus IIR's knowledge of industry and technology. This value represents the total project spending from inception of the project to startup, including equipment, materials and services. The TIV will include land acquisition costs when reporting on Grassroot projects.
IIR Industry Code (IC): IIR's twelve (12), designated Industries include: (01) Power, (02) Terminals, (03) Oil & Gas Transmission, (04) Oil & Gas Production, (05) Alternative Fuel, (06) Petroleum Refining, (07) Chemical & Pharmaceutical, (08) Mines, Metals & Minerals, (09) Pulp, Paper & Wood, (10) Food & Beverage, (12) Industrial Manufacturing, and (13) Pharmaceutical & Biotech. These two-digit industry codes identify the primary business conducted at the Plant.
Project SIC Product: This eight-digit code identifies the exact product to be produced for each Project. The first four (4) digits of this code are the U.S. Government's Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) code followed by IIR's unique four (4)-digit product code number.
Plant SIC: IIR uses the U.S. Government's four (4) digit Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) code to show the primary product produced at the plant.
Environmental: Air (A), Land (L) or Water (W) will be displayed in this portion of the report when a project requires the procurement of environmental, technologies, equipment, materials or services.
Project ID: Each PEC Report® is assigned a unique eight-digit Project ID number for project identification and tracking purposes and links each project to the corresponding Plant Profile®.
Verification ID: The verification ID begins with the two letter State or Province abbreviation followed in succession by a series of eight numbers with the first two identifying the year and subsequent two representing the Report Month followed by the fifth & sixth digits defining the Report Number or order in which the report was released. The last two numbers identify the specific PEC Zone within the Project State.
Research Date: This date indicates the when the Project was last verified and researched by an industry specialist prior to release.
Project Map: The map in this section of the report displays the appropriate PEC Zone for the project and plant location.
