IIR's North American plant coverage of the current 4,478 operational plants are categorized by a four digit SIC (Standard Industrial Classification) code, which identifies the primary business of the plant. Beyond the SIC code, IIR has expanded its coverage to include an eight-digit SIC Product Code that specifically identifies over 1,120 products produced at these plants such as 2869*0077 - Ethylene.
