Enelven to Start Up 500-Megawatt Termozulia II Thermal Plant this Year

CORDOBA, ARGENTINA--July 31, 2008--Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Corpoelec, a newly created firm overseeing 14 electricity companies in Venezuela, recently announced that the 500-megawatt (MW) Termozulia II thermal power plant will begin operation by the end of the year. The $400 million facility, located in Zulia state, will provide electricity to the western region of the country. The plant is owned by Corpoelec's Energia Electrica de Venezuela (Enelven).
