Turbine Replacements Scheduled for Chancy-Pougny Hydroelectric Power Plant in Switzerland

GALWAY, IRELAND--November 6, 2009--Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--The 47.1-megawatt (MW) Chancy-Pougny Hydropower Plant, owned and operated by Societe des Forces Motrices du Chancy-Pougny SA (Geneva, Switzerland), is gearing up for the replacement of two of the facility's five turbine units in early 2011. The replacements are projected to take about four years, with completion estimated for 2014.
