Point Beach Nuclear Refueling Outage Extended
SUGAR LAND--November 19, 2009--Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Point Beach Nuclear Station (Two Rivers, Wisconsin), which is owned by NextEra Energy Resources (Juno Beach, Florida), a subsidiary of FPL Group, Incorporated (NYSE:FPL), was brought offline on October 15, when the plant's 514-megawatt (MW) unit 02 was scheduled for a refuel outage. The plant confirmed that it experienced a problem that will extend the unit's outage by two weeks. The unit is now projected for December 2, if there are no other delays.
